Markette Inc., a manufacturer of girls’ and teens’ coats and sportswear, was originally an American company with headquarters in Port Huron, Michigan.

Makers of the St. Mary’s brand of fashionable wool fleece outerwear featured in Seventeen and Parents’ Magazine, Markette had sales offices in New York, Los Angeles, and Denver.

In 1954, Women’s Wear Daily announced that Markette was closing in the United States due to conflict with its New York sales agent.

The following year, Markette was identified as a Montreal childrenswear manufacturer in Lovell’s Business Directory with offices at 2454 Carrières Street. During the 1960s, Markette’s girls’ and teens’ apparel was sold at specialty and department stores such as Morgan’s before ceasing operations around 1970.
