Tib Design

Brand

Since 1979

Tib Design is a brand of comfortable, casual women’s ready-to-wear with an artisanal aesthetic. The garments, primarily knits, are produced in Quebec and made of European fabrics custom-made for the company.

Founded in 1979, Tib Design belongs to Bronek and Tania Kochanski (née Tatiana Sosnowska). Originally from Poland, the couple moved to Quebec in 1975. For many years, Tib Design operated an eponymous shop in the Longueuil borough of Greenfield Park. The brand’s garments were also sold at various retailers in Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia.

As of 2018, Tib Design clothing was still sold at L’Empreinte, an artists’ cooperative in Old Montreal.
