Quartz Co.

Brand

Since 1997

Founded in 1997 by Yves Trudeau under the name Quartz Nature, Quartz Co. is a Canadian parka company. It was purchased in 2015 by brothers Jean-Philippe and François-Xavier Robert.

The company has built its reputation on coats that provide consistent warmth in extreme cold. While most of its parkas are filled with down and lined with fur, Quartz Co. has been a pioneer in the commercialization of parkas insulated with milkweed, a fibrous plant found in Quebec. Once considered a weed, milkweed is now being farmed, primarily in the Mauricie region.

The Quartz Co. head office is located in Saint-Hyacinthe, just outside Montreal. As of 2018, the company’s coats were sold in over 225 stores in 19 different countries.
