Lili-les-Bains

Brand

Since 1995

Lili-les-Bains is a company specialized in high-end women’s bathing suits and beachwear. The brand has built a reputation on its ability to enhance all body types, sizes 8 to 24.

The company was founded in 1995 by Louise Daoust, a fashion design graduate of École France Auger and LaSalle College in Montreal.

Its Notre Dame Street atelier/store sold tailor-made pieces along with ready-to-wear suit collections.

The following year, Lili-les-Bains added travel clothing and evening wear to its product line.

In 2012, the brand won the IMAGE/in Award from the ÉquiLibre organization. This prize recognizes Quebec companies that promote a healthy diversity of body images. The company earned this honour thanks to its slogan, “Experts in perfect women, sizes 8 to 24” and its use of unretouched photographs in its advertising.

Also in 2012, Louise Daoust cut back her production of ready-to-wear and moved the business to Candiac to focus on tailor-made clothing, by appointment only. As of 2018, all of the brand’s bathing suits were made by Louise Daoust and a small team of part-time employees. Prices vary from $350 to $550.
