Festival de la mode enfantine

PromotionOrganization

1997 - 1998

A one-day event open to the public, the Festival de la mode enfantine was created to promote Quebec children’s clothing brands. It was presented in September 1997 at the Place Lebourgneuf shopping centre and in August 1998 at the Galeries de la Capitale in Quebec City.

The Festival included both a trade fair and a runway show featuring young models ages 3 to 12. Among the 20 or so participating brands were Louis Garneau, Souris Mini, La Mère Michèle and Orage.

The Festival de la mode enfantine was conceived and produced by Sylvie Corriveau, in partnership with the Quebec Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

The event was filmed and the videos created were sent to Quebec Government Offices outside the country and Canadian embassies to promote Quebec children’s clothing companies internationally.
