Deux par Deux is a Montreal brand of affordably priced clothing for children ages 0 to 12 that includes everything from bathing suits to snowsuits, along with everyday clothing and accessories.

While the Deux par Deux style is playful, colourful and designed for comfort, the cuts are inspired by adult fashion trends.

The brand puts out four collections a year: spring/summer, autumn/winter, snowsuits and holiday season.

Deux par Deux was founded by the couple Claude Diwan and Maurice Elmaleh, natives of Lebanon and Morocco, respectively. In 1983, they created the children’s clothing company Layette Minimome Inc., later called Groupe Minimome Inc. The Deux par Deux brand was created three years later. In the beginning, all the clothing was made locally. However, in 2005, Deux par Deux moved its production to China to remain competitive.

As of 2018, Claude Diwan was still the president and head designer of Deux par Deux, while Maurice Elmaleh had been retired since 2016. Their son, Zacharie Elmaleh, is vice-president of the family business after having worked various jobs in the company since he was a teen. He is expected to take over Groupe Minimome Inc.

With a staff of 25, the head office on Chabanel Street designs all the collections. The clothing is sold at approximately 500 retailers in six countries. The brand’s e-commerce Website, launched in 2015, also helps it reach an international clientele.
