Créations Circée

Brand

1986 - 1995

Designer Marie-France Dion (Montreal, 1958) began making clothing in the town of Lotbinière in the Chaudière-Appalaches region in 1978, after studying visual arts and art history at university. For the first few years, she notably created unique silk batik pieces that were very popular at craft fairs. In 1985, she began using other natural fibres, particularly linen, and created two collections a year. Sold under the Creations Circée label as of 1986, her clothing, designed primarily for women, could be found in many Quebec stores until 1995. At that time, she turned to making stained-glass windows with her husband, a stained glass artist.
