Founded in 1979 by André Claude and Ginette Leduc in the village of Saint-Clet in the Montérégie region, Audvik is a brand of men and women’s winter parkas. The coats are made with synthetic insulating materials, and clients can choose to add a band of natural (new or recycled) or artificial fur to their hood. All of the jackets are designed and produced in Montreal.

In 2011, the company was purchased by Sophie Boyer, who had just finished a degree in business administration at the Université de Sherbrooke. She moved Audvik’s offices to Montreal’s Chabanel Street, to be closer to her subcontractors. Her mother, a designer, is now in charge of designing the coats. Approximately 1,000 parkas are produced each year and distributed to some 40 stores across Canada.
