Alizée

Brand

Since 1986

Alizée is a Quebec brand of winter jackets and thermal clothing. It was founded in 1986 by Françoys Gaudreault and the Groupement Forestier de Dorchester, whose mission is to promote regional development. The company was initially based in Sainte-Aurélie, in the Beauce region, and designed accessories and clothing for windsurfing. Alizée quickly broadened its product lines to offer a wider range of outdoor clothing.

In 2007, the brand was purchased by Naturmania Inc., a company owned and run by Stéphanie Bernadet that is located in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, near Quebec City. This acquisition was made following the closure of the Alizée coat factory in Beauce. The company’s jackets are now produced overseas, but its Polartec underwear is still produced locally.

Alizée jackets do not include any animal products as they are made of synthetic leather, fur and insulation. The brand is becoming even more eco-friendly as it intends to use only recycled materials in the future. Alizée products are sold at 80 retailers, primarily in Quebec.
