KQK

KQK is a Quebec women’s ready-to-wear brand that combines street or punk style with careful fitting. The signature pieces in the collections, nearly all of them black, are known for their distinctive angular cuts and leather accents.

Karen Quirion is the designer behind the label, whose name is her initials plus that of her brother Kéven. She has a diploma in fashion design from Collège Notre-Dame-de-Foy, near Quebec City, and a master’s in fashion communications and public relations from the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, Italy.

In 2012, she founded KQK in her hometown of Thetford Mines, which is also where the clothing is produced. As of 2018, KQK collections are sold at the Cabinet éphémère in Montreal (a store representing several Quebec designers), in independent Toronto boutiques, and on the brand’s Website.
