Diego Montefusco

Designer

Since 1990

Diego Montefusco is an Italian designer of custom-made men’s shoes who moved to Quebec in 2012. Created to the client’s specifications, every pair is unique, requiring an average of 72 hours of work over a two-week period.

Diego Montefusco learned his craft from his grandfather at the age of 14 and then developed his skills by training with various professionals in Florence, Milan and Paris. In 1990, he opened a studio in Rome and began making shoes under his own label for a select clientele.

In Montreal, Diego Montefusco continues to create custom-made shoes in addition to working with performing artists and master tailors. Diego Montefusco has also taught at the École supérieure de mode at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM).
